According to source: Facebook was down in parts of Europe, Africa and the Middle East this morning as a result of technical problem, for approximately two hours. Service has since been brought back, and in an announcement, Facebook stated, “today we experienced technical difficulties causing the site to be unavailable for a number of users in Europe – The issue has been resolved and everyone should now have access to Facebook. We apologize for any inconvenience.”
According to a sampling of Tweets on the matter, Facebook was offline in Egypt, Turkey, Russia, Iceland, France, Germany, Italy, The UK – but still up in Hawaii, Japan and Sweden. More isolated areas, like Pakistan and South Korea were reportedly also hit.
